The Scoop~

I'm a mother of two girls- Amy, 5 and Lilly, 3- stay at home mom (hoping to start school again soon), and as this Blog indicates; I want to loose weight!
~Scratch that~ I want to change myself permanently. Period. Loosing weight suggests I want to find it again, lol.

I gained my weight like most women; pregnancy, childbirth, and all that goes with it. And to top it off, my kids were HUGE when they were born. Amy was 10 lbs, 5 oz, born in September 2006 and Lilly was 10 lbs, 3 oz, born in October 2008. I gained 55 lbs with each pregnancy and a TON of stretch marks. Yes, I enjoyed myself, lol, and no, that stretch mark stuff does NOT work. Being 5'3" doesn't help either. Thus, once they were born, the weight didn't melt off. I've been anywhere between 145 lbs and 155 lbs ever since.

But, for my 26th Birthday (Feb, 2010), I had a break through! My Hubby got me (and him) a membership to Gold's Gym. He also got us a personal trainer. Working out 4 days a week and on a strict diet, I got down to 137 lbs by September. So I know the process works. =D

But...right after that, I started school.
School + Homework + Kids + Hubby + Everything else = A LOT of STRESS.
So thus, my diet went out the window as well as a workout schedule. And to top it off, I didn't end up finishing school because of all the stress. My Hubby is in the United States Air Force and was leaving to Officer Training School for 3 months. Yeah, I was super stressed out and couldn't handle much of
anything. Grr.

Anyhoo, fast forward 3 months when the Hubs graduated from OTS and we traveled from Alabama to Spokane, Washington. And for the last 3 months we have been enjoying ourselves and not caring about anything, lol.

But now it is a new year, and with a new year, comes resolutions. I have made the usual "gonna loose weight" resolution. But I am taking this super serious this time and I WILL achieve my goal this year of getting to 130 lbs with all the tone my body can handle.

So, here I am, making a public Blog to document everything. I will be taking photos of myself (nastiness and all), taking measurement, putting up recipes, things that have helped me out, motivational quotes, etc.

In the long run, in helping myself, I hope to help others. :)
